Severe Thunderstorms: Damaging Wind Gusts to 60-70 mph and Hail

A strong cold front approaches Wednesday afternoon with a very warm (possibly record warmth) and increasingly more humid air mass across our area ahead of it. Some thunderstorms will be possible, and there is a severe thunderstorm risk during the afternoon and evening. Isolated to scattered severe thunderstorms possible Wednesday afternoon and evening, approximately from 3 PM to 11 PM. The timing details however, as of now, is low confidence. Damaging straight-line wind gusts to 60-70 mph and hail up to quarter size are the primary severe weather hazards. If thunderstorms become more organized to our west and arrive earlier, then the severe weather risk locally should increase.
