Severe Thunderstorm Watch Issued for Ocean County

According to Weather.com, a severe thunderstorm watch and small craft advisory has been issued for Ocean County.

The Tri-State region is under a severe thunderstorm watch, with the possibility of tornadoes, hail, and strong wind gusts through 9 p.m.

From Philadelphia to Syracuse, the National Weather Service issued a watch for severe thunderstorms. Approximately 31 million individuals, 7,500 schools, and more than 400 hospitals are impacted by the watch. It issues a warning about the possibility of tornadoes, wind gusts reaching 65 mph, and hail the size of quarters.

"The region will be affected by thunderstorms through this evening. The weather service issued a warning, stating that some thunderstorms will be severe and could produce large hail and dangerous wind gusts.

"This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for central Delaware, northern Delaware, southern Delaware, northeast Maryland, central NewJersey, northern New Jersey, northwest New Jersey, southern New Jersey, east central Pennsylvania, northeast Pennsylvania and southeast Pennsylvania."
