Shocking Video Reveals Nanny's Mistreatment of Newborn Twins in Ocean County
According to Jackson Police, a live-in nanny has been charged after being caught on camera shaking and throwing a family's 7-week-old twins.
The
Ocean County Prosecutor's Office announced on Monday that
Trudy Osborne, 59, has been charged with two counts of fourth-degree child abuse in connection with the March 26 incident.
According to authorities, the baby sisters were transferred to Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune for additional observation after initially seeing their family's pediatrician. According to the prosecutor's office, doctors concluded that the babies were unharmed based on CT scans.
On March 26, at around 12:30 p.m., the children's father called the police to report that his wife had witnessed Osborne "shaking, tossing and improperly treating" the couple's 7-week-old twins. The event was caught on camera at the residence, according to Jackson police.
Detectives from Jackson and the Ocean County Prosecutor's Office met with the parents at Jersey Shore after the father phoned them from the pediatrician's office. The parents then showed them the footage of Osborne shaking the infants, according to the police.
According to authorities, Osborne was subsequently escorted to Jackson Police headquarters and later to the Ocean County Jail after being arrested at the family's residence.
The Ocean County Corrections website states that she has now been released from the county jail.
