At 9:23 p.m. on Monday, March 28, 2022. Officers from the Beachwood Police Department responded to a report of shots fired at Admiral Avenue and Locker Street. Officers on the scene discovered multiple spent shot casings in the street as well as a parked vehicle that had been hit by a single round.
According to preliminary inquiry, the incident began in a neighboring jurisdiction with two automobiles, a suspect vehicle and a victim vehicle, and culminated in the rounds fired at the Beachwood crossroads. Both vehicles departed the scene after the incident. This incident did not result in any reported injuries.
The CSI unit of the Ocean County Sheriff's Department was dispatched to the location to aid in the investigation. This investigation is still ongoing, and anyone with information about it should call Det. David Bowden or D/Sgt. Allen Magory at (732) 286-6000 or dbowden@beachwoodpolice.com.
