An NBA player's sister was identified as the victim of a shooting death at a Jackson apartment complex, according to sources.

About 11 a.m. on Saturday, Toraya Reid, 28, was discovered dead from multiple gunshot wounds following a 911 call, according to Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer. 29-year-old Shaquille Green is accused of killing Reid. "The two were dating," the prosecution claims.
According to the NYTImes, Toraya Reid is the eldest sister of NBA player Naz Reid of the Minnesota Timberwolves.

According to Sports Illustrated, Reid, who attended Roselle Catholic during his high school basketball career, signed with the Timberwolves in 2019 as an undrafted free agent and is now Minnesota's sixth man.

Just before Labor Day, center/forward Naz Reid was back in New Jersey, holding a basketball camp in Asbury Park, according to the Asbury Park Press.
According to Billhimer, Toraya Reid was discovered unconscious in the road near the Paragon Apartment complex on Larsen Road. Shortly after, he said, Green was apprehended after being discovered sprinting down New Prospect Road.

He is being held in the Ocean County Jail pending a detention hearing on charges of murder, unlawful possession of a weapon, and unlawful possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose.
