Six Flags Great Adventure Announces New Zebra Arrivals

In the Wild Safari at Six Flags Great Adventure, young giraffes, tiger cubs, and lion cubs frequently join the park's resident animals.

According to the park, three zebra foals who were born in the last few weeks are the newest addition.

According to the park, all three are Grant's zebras, the smallest and most widely distributed subspecies of the eastern African plains zebra. According to park officials, the sex of the third foal is yet unknown, whereas the first two babies are male and female.

According to officials, the youngest foal was born only a few days ago.

Until Nov. 9, when the Wild Safari closes for the season, visitors can view the babies, who have not yet been given names, according to park authorities.

"As they explore the safari pastures, grow their stripes, and engage with the rest of the herd, the active young can be observed staying close to their mothers," the park stated.

Experts in animal care are still keeping an eye on their early development and behavior.
"These newborns are an exciting milestone for our zebra herd," according to safari director Dr. William Rives. "The foals are already displaying distinct personalities, curiosity, and good health. Fall is a lovely season to visit the safari and get a close-up look at these adorable animals.

The 350 acres of naturalistic ecosystems on the safari are home to over 1,200 species from all over the world, including giraffes, rhinos, antelope, and lions. In the past ten months, two giraffe babies were born there.
