Snow and Rain Expected Across New Jersey
Parts of northern New Jersey are predicted to have light snow on Monday, with a coating at most.
The National Weather Service stated on Sunday afternoon that "total accumulations look to be confined to a covering of snow."
Southeast New Jersey will have high temperatures on Monday that range from the 30s to the low 40s.
Temperatures will be moderated when a warm front moves through the area on Monday night and into Tuesday.
Highs are predicted to hit the 40s by Tuesday afternoon.
Light precipitation is predicted to creep into the region late in the afternoon or at night, but Tuesday will still be mostly dry with a lot of cloud cover.
Tuesday night's surface temperatures in northeastern New Jersey might dip to about freezing, which could result in light snow or a light sheen of freezing rain.
Wednesday is expected to be sunny and windy with winds coming from the northwest and west. Friday may see temperatures in the mid-to-upper 50s.
With strong gusts and temperatures that could exceed 60 degrees in southern regions of the state, the system will continue to have an impact on the area until Saturday.
Late on Saturday, a powerful cold front is predicted to move over the area, bringing with it further showers, blustery weather, and typical temperatures on Sunday. Check the upcoming
forecast.
