South Jersey Shoprite Locked Down Due to Hostage Situation

According to 6abc Action News the reported hostage situation that occurred in a supermarket store on Saturday night is being looked into by Camden County police.

A significant police presence was assembled near the ShopRite on the 100 block of White Horse Pike in Lawnside.

All of this happened around 7:00 p.m. on Saturday evening.

Since then, the area has been cleared. Whether any injuries were recorded during the incident is yet unknown.

ShopRite was closed on Saturday while police investigated the situation, according to officials.
