Strong Wind, Rain with Snow Showers Expected in NJ
According to the National Weather Service, Wednesday night into Thursday morning, almost all of New Jersey will see some light snowfall as temperatures drop due to an Arctic blast of cold air, accompanied by severe wind gusts of up to 55 mph.
With the exception of the higher elevation regions of Sussex and western Passaic Counties, where a little heavier snowfall is possible, most places should receive less than an inch of snow. However, the National Weather Service warned that the timing might make Thursday's early commute treacherous.
According to the weather service, snow is not predicted for the Jersey Shore or the northeastern portion of the state.
Forecasters predict wind gusts of 25 to 30 mph on Wednesday evening. But it will be much windier on Thursday.
With wind chill readings in the teens, Thursday night will be the coldest of the season thus far. Check out the weather in your area.
