Abigail McCabe is an 11 year old competitive dancer from Toms River NJ and a member of the local Broadway on Main performance team. She literally lives and breathes dance!
Last month Abby attended a five hour long national audition alongside hundreds of dancers from all over the United States in hopes of earning a coveted spot on the IDO Team USA Dance Team.
To her surprise, she was absolutely THRILLED to have been selected as a dancer to represent the Team USA Contemporary/Modem Dance Team at the IDO World Championships in Kielce,Poland!
The event runs from November 27th - December 2nd, 2024 which is just a few short months away! This is such a significant achievement and milestone for a dancer so young!
Earning a spot on Team USA for the International Dance Organization (IDO) World Championships in Poland is nothing short of a dream come true! .
The IDO, founded in 1981 and based in Slagelse, Denmark, is a globally recognized organization that hosts numerous prestigious worldwide dance championships.
With over 90 member nations, the IDO represents more than 250,000 dancers from six continents, offering a platform for dancers to compete in various styles such as ballet, jazz, hip-hop, and contemporary dance.
This opportunity marks a remarkable step forward in Abigail's dance career!
Abby has been dancing since the age of two! She's the youngest of 6 children and as a member of the competitive dance team at Broadway on Main, she puts in countless hours, training, performing and traveling to conventions and competitions all year long doing what she loves... DANCE!
Abby continues to inspire us every day with her determination and work ethic. Dancing is her passion and her purpose! She is honored and humbled to able to represent the United States in these Dancesport Olympics!!! 🇺🇸
