Suspicious Male Lurking in Backyards Arrested

Ron Carr, 34, of Manchester

According to Manchester Police Department, a man who was seen peering into the backyards of multiple residences in Pine Lake Park was apprehended after attempting to flee.

According to Manchester Lt. James Komsa, Ron Carr, 34, of Manchester, was charged with resisting arrest and brought to the Ocean County Jail.

According to Komsa, at 8:24 a.m., a caller reported seeing a male peeking in the backyards of houses at Cumberland Boulevard and 6th Avenue while wearing a red flannel shirt and red jeans.

When they arrived, Patrolmen Joseph Reilly, Kyle Rickvalsky, and Connor Maliff discovered a male matching the description at the intersection of Cumberland Boulevard and Broadway Boulevard, according to Komsa.

Police discovered Carr had an arrest warrant for alleged criminal mischief when the man was identified as Carr. Carr attempted to flee after learning of the warrant from the authorities, according to Komsa.

Carr was apprehended and charged with fourth-degree resisting arrest (by flight) following a brief pursuit and skirmish, according to Komsa.

In anticipation of the detention hearing, Carr was being held at the Ocean County Jail.

Residents should keep their homes and vehicles safe, and Komsa advised calling the Manchester Township Police Department at 732-657-6111 to report any strange people or vehicles.
