Target Employee Arrested for Inappropriate Behavior in Monmouth County Store Location

Employee Accused of Inappropriate Behavior

According to Wall Township Police Department, David I. Sutton, 20, of Lakewood, was taken into custody by Patrolman Shane Roland on Tuesday, August 27, 2024, on charges of harassment, invasion of privacy, and obstructing the course of justice.

Patrolman Roland's inquiry at the Target Department Store, located at 1825 State Highway 35, led to this arrest when management notified the police department. Target employee Sutton was caught pointing his phone up a female customer's skirt. When the police arrived, Sutton ran away and was caught after a foot chase. After processing, Sutton was given a summons and released.

It is important to remember that despite these charges, every defendant is presumed innocent, unless and until found guilty beyond a reasonable doubt, following a trial at which the defendant has all the trial rights guaranteed by the United States Constitution and New Jersey State Law.
