According to the Monmouth County Prosecutors Office, Christopher A. Decesare, 31, of Matawan, was taken into custody on August 29 and is accused with one count of second-degree distribution of documents pertaining to child sexual abuse.

Decesare is the Music Teacher/Orchestra Director at Toms River Intermediate South School.

The prosecutor's office stated that the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children, whose members acted on a tip from a social media site, provided information about Decesare to their digital crimes against children unit in July.

According to the investigation, Decesare had been disseminating materials about child sex abuse on social media, as claimed by Santiago.

According to Santiago, additional research showed that Decesare was also receiving the files via his personal email account.

The prosecutor's office is asking anyone with information regarding the case to contact Detective Anthony Lacher at 800-533-7443.
