National Teacher Appreciation Week, Teacher Appreciation Day and School Nurses Day are all celebrated during the second week in May. In recognition of all of the people who make New Jersey’s public schools the best in the nation, NJEA joins the National PTA, National Education Association and all our partners in honoring and applauding the work that public school employees do every day to help children achieve their full potential.
In New Jersey, we have so much to celebrate. Our public schools continue to lead the nation in almost every indicator. Learn more about our track record for excellent public schools.
As great as these statistics are, people are what makes our schools special, from the cafeteria workers to the librarian/media specialist to the technicians and clerical workers to the teacher in your classroom, bus driver on your street, and nurse in your hallway.
This week, and every week, thank you to our members – the people who care about New Jersey’s school children!
There is no greater accomplishment than making a difference in the life of a child.
In honor of Teacher’s Appreciation Week we celebrate the commitment all teachers make every day!
Thank you for your dedication and devotion to our children’s future.
