Armed Robbery of 83 Year-Old Woman in NJ Grocery Store. Teen Charged.
An elderly woman was "brutally attacked" and had her handbag stolen in front of the Somers Point Acme, according to police, and a 15-year-old boy and three adults were accused.
Authorities claim that three adults sent the young person to rob the woman. An 83-year-old woman was assaulted and her handbag taken on October 3 when she was approached from behind by a person wearing a mask close to the store's entrance, according to prior reports from the police. Police said she was treated for injuries to her face and upper body and has since been released.According to Somers Point Police Department, they have identified and arrested all those involved in this crime.
In addition to the below arrests, multiple search warrants on residences and a vehicle were executed in Atlantic City and Egg Harbor Township to obtain evidence.
