According to New Jersey State Police, a man from Pine Beach suffered significant injuries when his SUV crashed off the Garden State Parkway near Toms River on Thanksgiving evening.

At approximately 6:50 p.m., 28-year-old Jason Kroessig was traveling north in a Lexus SUV when he veered off the road close to milepost 86.7 and struck multiple trees on the highway's right side, according to State Police Sgt. Jeffrey Lebron.

According to Lebron, Kroessig suffered severe injuries.
