Thanksgiving Weather Alert: Storm Bringing Rain and Snow in NJ

According to the National Weather Service, the Garden State will have a rainy week with the potential for snow for some people on Thanksgiving and Black Friday.

The good news is that the National Weather Service predicts that the first bout of rain will arrive Tuesday during the day and then resume overnight on Wednesday, sparing the busy travel day.

There are two possible outcomes for the Thanksgiving storm, so forecasters are currently monitoring it. The storm's intensity may vary depending on which of these occurs.

Parades in Philadelphia and New York City may be affected by the storm's potentially severe gusty winds.

Additionally, some snowflakes might be brought by the storm if its core moves far enough north. However, it might be limited to higher elevation regions, just like the most recent snowfall.

"The possibility may still remain for some to wake up to a white Thanksgiving or see snowflakes fly in areas that typically do not see snow for the late-November holiday," Roys stated.

By Friday, everything should be dry. Nonetheless, the weekend will seem wintry due to the low and windy temperatures.
