The Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office will be hosting a Hispanic Heritage Month

On Saturday, October 9, 2021, the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office will be hosting a Hispanic Heritage Month Community Outreach Event at St. Anthony’s Claret Church located at 780 Ocean Ave. in Lakewood. Members from OCPO’s Operation Helping Hand and many of our community partners will be attending the event to highlight the numerous resources available to the Hispanic community. Each agency will have a Spanish speaking representative. The event will run from 8:00 a.m. until noon and admission is free!
October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month! This is a time to acknowledge domestic violence survivors and be a voice for domestic violence victims. Domestic Violence can include physical and psychological abuse. Physical violence is often accompanied by emotionally abusive behavior as part of a much larger, systematic pattern of dominance and control. The devastating consequences of domestic violence can cross generations and last a lifetime. If you or someone you know is living in fear of domestic violence - help is just a phone call away. You can call Providence House 24-hours a day at 1-800-246-8910. The Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office Victim-Witness Advocacy Unit can be reached at 732-929-2195.
