Threat Made by Student at Brick Middle School Under Investigation
According to Brick Township Police Department during the afternoon of November 20th, Brick Police received a report that a Veterans Memorial Middle School student made threatening statements.
Acting on the information provided, detectives worked with the school officials to address the situation.
The investigation is still ongoing however, they have determined that there is no credible threat to the safety of students and staff.
The statement did not give specifics about the nature of the threat.
The Brick Police and the Brick Schools are committed to the safety and well-being of all students, staff, parents, and community.
Chief David Forrester would like to thank the school administration and those who reported the incident. Brick Police and Brick Schools want to assure the community that they always take such incidents seriously and will investigate all threats to their lawful conclusion.
