Whether you are interested in socializing or getting fit, learning new things or staying healthy, the Toms River Senior Outreach Center has something for everyone. Programs are available for anyone over the age of 60. For those that enjoy physical activities, our fitness classes may fit your needs. They offer Zumba, Exercise, Tai Chi, Yoga and line dancing.
While they offer the above activities, the Senior Outreach Program provides information and assistance on many important issues that our seniors face today – Medicare, RX coverage, Medical Transportation, Nutrition, Health Screenings and applying for various benefit programs are just some of the areas they can assist you with. At your request, they will conduct a one on one session with you to determine if you are eligible for government assistance programs and assist with the completion of these applications to help you obtain the help you need.
Referrals under the Caregiver Support Program can be provided to a family member or any unpaid individual who is caring for an elderly adult 60 years of age or older. This may be a spouse, parent, friend or neighbor. If you are helping with food shopping, transportation, preparing meals, housecleaning, managing medication or other tasks, then you are a Caregiver! Contact us for resources available that may assist you in caring for your loved one.
