Drivers should soon get some relief after two days of chaos caused by a sinkhole on Toms River's Route 37 westbound.
The west side of Route 37 is the main area of construction. After completing the paving, road workers are now polishing the pavement and clearing up the mess.
At the junction of Route 37 and Oak Ridge Parkway, construction workers covered the sinkhole with pavement. It became visible as a result of a ruptured stormwater pipe underneath the road.
The sinkhole did not cause any harm to vehicles.
