Tragic Accident Claims Life of Ocean County Woman
According to authorities, a woman from Manchester Township passed away on Saturday after her Jeep Liberty struck some trees on Route 539 in Lacey Township.
At approximately 11:30 p.m., Rosemary Pfluge, 72, of the Whiting neighborhood of Manchester, was traveling north on Route 539 in a gray 2012 Jeep Liberty. According to Lacey Capt. Paul Sullivan Jr., it ran off the road on Saturday, collided with many trees, and overturned.
According to Sullivan, Pfluge had to be extricated by members from the Whiting and Forked River fire departments. He added that after being brought to the
Community Medical Center in Toms River, she was subsequently declared deceased.

According to Sullivan, the crash was responded by Lacey EMS, Manchester Township Police, Forked River Fire, Whiting Fire Department RWJ Paramedics, and Lacey Township Police.
