Tragic Incident at NJ Rest Stop: Man Kills Wife, Then Himself

On Monday, June 16th, a man shot and killed his estranged wife at a school bus depot in Maryland. He then committed suicide at the Hamilton rest stop in Mercer County, according to authorities.

According to authorities, Trimall Stephenson, 48, of Middle River, Maryland, shot Monyette Marie Stephenson, 45.
Around 10:13 a.m., according to Anne Arundel County Police, they were called to a bus service on the 1800 block of Bucklina Avenue in Odenton, Maryland.

They discovered Monyette Marie there, wounded by a bullet. According to the police, she was declared dead by the responding medics.

Investigators said that by obtaining and viewing video footage of the shooting, they were able to identify the perpetrator as Trimall, a bus service employee and the estranged husband of Monyette Marie.

Authorities claim that Trimall was seen by New Jersey State Police at a Hamilton rest area. According to investigators, Trimall killed himself by turning a gun on himself as troopers drew closer to the car.
The Anne Arundel County Police Department is working with the New Jersey State Police on the investigation.
