Tragic Incident: NJ Man Discovered Deceased in Shrewsbury River
According to Sgt. Jeffrey Lebron of the NJ State Police, a man from New Jersey died after being discovered in the Shrewsbury River on Sunday, August 10th.
Around 10:45 p.m. on Sunday, troopers responded to a vessel incident on the river in Sea Bright, resulting in the removal of Juan Mejia, 63, of Rumson from the water.
Lebron added that after being pulled out of the water, Mejia was taken to a nearby hospital and subsequently declared deceased.The incident is still being investigated. According to NJ State Police, no further information is available.
