Tragic Loss: South Jersey Detective Killed in Home Invasion

According to Cumberland County Prosecutors Office, a police detective was shot and killed on October 15th during a home invasion of her residence in Bridgeton.
Sgt. Monica Mosley, the victim, was employed by the Cumberland County Prosecutor's Office for almost twenty years. Her age was 51.
As of Thursday afternoon, State Police had no suspects in custody for the murder of Det. Sgt. Monica Mosley. However, detectives found that when she was shot Tuesday night, several people were coming and going from her Bridgeton residence.

According to Bridgeton police on Wednesday morning, one suspect was taken into custody for questioning in the matter.
At approximately 10:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Bridgeton police were called to a reported break-in at Mosley's residence. Several people kicked in the front door, according to police reports.
Officers arrived to find Mosley shot and killed.
