Train Accident Claims Life of Man with Hospital ID Bracelet in NJ

According to Red Bank Policethe man who was killed by a NJ Transit train on Tuesday was wearing a hospital ID bracelet from Jersey Shore Medical Center.

The Chief of Police stated that since the incident happened on their property, NJ Transit Police are conducting an investigation into it, even though the man's identity has not yet been made public.

According to NJ Transit spokesperson John Chartier, the guy was struck and killed by a North Jersey Coast Line train at the Bridge Avenue-Monmouth Street train crossing on Tuesday afternoon.

The event resulted in a temporary suspension of North Jersey Coast Line rail service between Red Bank and Long Branch, although no injuries were recorded among the 25 customers or crew members on board, according to Chartier.

North Jersey Coast Line rail service is running on or near schedule in both directions as of 7:20 p.m. on Tuesday, with some lingering delays.

This event happened at the same spot where a NJ Transit train struck and killed a man back in September.

On September 14, a train struck Anthony Depalma, 39, of Highlands, near the Bridge Avenue-Monmouth Street crossing.

Depalma received medical attention from responding police officers before being transported to Riverview Medical Center, where Frazee claimed he eventually passed away from his wounds.
