According to Toms River Police Department, they are in the process of investigating two attempted bank robberies that occurred on Route 9 shortly after 2:00 pm today.
In just a few minutes on Tuesday afternoon, someone made an attempt to rob two banks in Toms River, according to police.
Various news sources on social media claim the same individual in a mask and hoodie robbed the First Financial and Santander banks, which are located near one another on Route 9. Police were searching for the suspect.
Toms River Police are investigating at this time.
