Two Individuals Airlifted Following Serious Car Crash in Ocean County
According to Manchester Police Department, at 8:38 p.m. on Sunday, July 6, 2025, Manchester Township Police officers were called to the scene of a two-car motor vehicle collision near Broadway Boulevard and Burnside Street.
When officers arrived on the scene, they found a heavily damaged blue 2021 Jeep Cherokee, facing west, on the passenger side of a house on the fourteen hundred block of Broadway Boulevard. Officers also noticed a gray 2015 Toyota Camry with significant front-end damage at the intersection, facing south.
The investigation revealed that the Jeep was traveling south on Burnside Street when it failed to stop at the stop sign at the intersection of Broadway Boulevard. The Jeep then impacted the Toyota, which was traveling east on Broadway Boulevard.
As a result of the impact, the Jeep overturned and landed on its passenger side.
The driver of the Jeep was identified as
23-year-old Briana Rodriguez of Brick, NJ. The passenger of the Jeep was identified as
21-year-old Anthony Fernandez of Brick, NJ.
Both the driver and passenger of the Jeep were extricated from the vehicle by emergency personnel on scene and were transported to
Jersey Shore University Medical Center by Robert Wood Johnson Barnabas Health’s LifeFlight medevac helicopter.
The investigation into the crash is still ongoing, but at this point, disregard of a stop sign by the driver of the Jeep appears to be the primary contributing factor. This crash is being investigated by Ptl. Brendan Brush of the department’s Traffic Safety Unit.
