Two Toms River Men Arrested for Car Burglairies

Two Toms River Men Were Apprehended

According to the Brick Township Police Department, Patrolman Kyle Patrick, K-9 Officer Patrolman Scott Smith, Patrolman Kyle Dudak, and Patrolman John Sullivan were summoned to the vicinity of Collins Court in Green Briar I on 10/12/2021 at around 02:30 a.m. for a motor vehicle burglary in progress.

Two unknown persons were attempting to burglarize motor vehicles in the neighborhood, according to the caller. According to reports, the people were seen getting into cars. When Patrolman Patrick arrived at the scene, he noticed a car occupied by two male subjects who matched the description given to dispatch.

Ryan Payesko (27 years old from Toms River) and Nicolas Massimi, (28 years olf from Toms River) were the occupants of the vehicle when it was stopped. 

Payesko and Massimi were apprehended and taken into custody after further investigation. 

Ryan Payesko was charged with Theft of Movable Property, Burglary, Possession of Controlled Dangerous Substance Paraphernalia, Possession of Hypodermic Needles, Possession of Controlled Dangerous Substance (Heroin), and Possession of Certain Weapons (Brass Knuckles). Payesko was also handed a traffic summons for driving while his license was suspended.

Nicholas Massimi was arrested and charged with Theft of Movable Property, Burglary, Possession of Controlled Dangerous Substance Paraphernalia, Hypodermic Needles Possession, and Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance (Heroin).

It is suspected that the subjects entered as many as twenty vehicles and the investigation is ongoing. Both suspects were lodged in the Ocean County jail.
