U.S. Army Capt. Jerry Wagner
A resolution was presented by the Toms River Township Council on Wednesday in honor of U.S. Army Capt. Jerry Wagner, who performed many tours of duty in Iraq, including in the Army command supported by renowned "American Sniper" Chris Kyle.
A resolution was presented to Wagner in recognition of his military service, which included repeated tours of duty in Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom. /h2>
His first deployment was in Fallujah in 2004, and his second, in 2006, was in Ramadi in the Army command that was supported by work of Kyle, the U.S. Navy Seal who later wrote "American Sniper" about his service. Kyle, who killed 91 enemy fighters and is credited with making the Ramadi mission a success, was slain by a fellow veteran in 2013.
