Upcoming Weather: Rain and Memorial Day Weekend Outlook for NJ
According to the National Weather Service, we'll finally see some improvement as we head into Friday and especially over the weekend. Friday afternoon will see slightly better temperatures, with highs of roughly 60 degrees. For this season, that is still below average. But not as uncomfortable as Tuesday and Wednesday's 40s and 50s.
It is predicted that Sunday will be a little warmer, with highs in the lower 70s. Lows will be in the 40s overnight.
Looking ahead, southern New Jersey may have a chance of light rain by Tuesday evening and Wednesday due to a weak low-pressure system.
Over the course of the period, temperatures are predicted to stay at or below normal.
With breaking waves and difficult surf conditions, Friday's ocean beaches are still at high risk of
rip currents. Throughout the weekend, beachgoers should be cautious and keep an eye on local beach advisories.
According to
Accuweather, Friday's highs will be in the low 60s, and the rain will subside.
Even while the skies remain mostly gloomy, there is a risk of a few showers, so it won't be a washout. With only a solitary shower and highs in the low 60s on Saturday, the likelihood of rain is even lower. On Sunday, there will be more sunny spells and highs in the mid-60s. Additionally, it will mostly be dry.
With highs in the low 70s and additional sunshine, Memorial Day will be the highlight of the holiday weekend.
Temperatures drop to the mid-60s, and rain returns on Tuesday and Wednesday. Check your
local forecast.
