WEATHER ALERT: 30 Inches of Snow Possible for Ocean and Monmouth County
According to the National Weather Service, the southern Poconos, all of NJ, all of DE, Philadelphia, and surrounding parts of SE PA are now included in the blizzard warnings, which were extended a few counties inland. The strongest winds and snowfall will happen overnight.
Although locally higher or lower quantities may be conceivable, 1-2 feet of snow is often predicted for the whole area.
The message remains the same regardless of the precise amount of snowfall: dangerous travel is anticipated, and infrastructure damage may persist until Monday.
With widespread snowfall totals of 12 to 24+ inches predicted for today and Monday, a "possibly historic" storm is predicted to paralyze New Jersey. According to
Fox5NY, Northern parts of New Jersey will see anywhere from 18 to 30 inches of snow, with the
Jersey Shore expected to accumulate the highest totals.
