Weekend Weather Update: Wintry Mix Transitioning to Rain in NJ

Wintry Mix to Rain This Weekend in NJ

Before turning into rain on Monday morning, the precipitation may start out as a wintry mix on Sunday night.

There may be some light snow accumulation and a thin layer of ice.

It's not particularly noteworthy, but it might make roadways slick on Monday morning. A spell of light rain is anticipated elsewhere.

The weather over the weekend is expected to be dry but cold. Saturday was mostly sunny, and Sunday was overcast.

The vast majority of the weekend is looking dry, if a bit chilly.

Precipitation is likely to move in to the region starting late in the day Sunday into Sunday evening.

Much of the region will see all rain with this round of precipitation.

However, for areas along and north of the Interstate 78 corridor, the precipitation could start as a wintry mix. Any snow and ice accumulations should be very light before the precipitation changes over to all rain.
