When Will Rainfall Arrive in New Jersey? Residents Are Curious

According to the NJ Environmental Protection, the Garden State is experiencing the driest conditions in almost 120 years, and residents of New Jersey are wondering when significant rain will fall. Here are the findings of the most recent forecast.

Since June, New Jersey has received six to eleven inches less rain than usual.

Numerous wildfires have been started by this prolonged dry spell, which has also caused the state's reservoirs to drop. As we approach a drought alert, water conservation is now advised.

According to the National Weather Service, there will be some rain showers on Thursday night. They won't, however, have a significant impact—probably only a tenth of an inch of rain is expected. Additionally, there is little chance of any rainfall in the areas north and south of Philadelphia.

Forecasters predict that we won't get any discernible rainfall for at least another week after that.

Forecasters predict that a cold front will move in from the west as we move into next week, but it won't bring much moisture. The National Weather Service says there may be a few light showers north of Philadelphia, but nothing that would stop the drought.
