When Will This Heat Wave End in NJ?
Though there may be some respite following a challenging weekend, meteorologists predict that the severe heat wave that has suffocated much of New Jersey with record high temperatures, excessive humidity, and poor air quality will persist through the middle of next week.
According to forecasts, residents might have to wait until Thursday for high temperatures to drop below 90 degrees throughout the entire state, resulting in a 10-day heat wave. However, this weekend might be the worst of it.
New Jersey will see oppressive heat on Saturday and Sunday, with highs well into the 90s and highs over 100 degrees this weekend throughout the majority of the state according to Accuweather.
Although it shouldn't be nearly as hot next week, forecasts indicate that Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday highs will also be in the low 90s across a large portion of the state.
Next week's hottest day is predicted to be Wednesday, when temperatures will reach the low-to-mid 90s.
The temperature should rise back into the 80s by Thursday, which is about average for late June.
