Wintry Mix Expected in New Jersey as Storm Approaches
During the cold first week of December, a storm may bring wintry conditions and snow showers to New Jersey, according to experts.
Below-season temperatures are ushering off the final month of the year, and a storm system from the Great Lakes is expected to make landfall in the area on Wednesday night.
The National Weather Service says Wednesday will be dry during the day. According to the National Weather Service, there should be little precipitation because the upcoming storm will be swift-moving and low in moisture.
Forecasters from the National Weather Service stated that "it looks cold enough across the far north for all snow with some mixing farther south to perhaps all rain even farther south given low-level warm air advection."
Depending on how frigid the air becomes,
AccuWeather experts said that pockets of snow might extend all the way to the Atlantic coast.
"The amount and precise locations of that snow will depend on the track and intensity of the moisture-starved storm," stated AccuWeather.
Forecasters anticipate that any snow accumulations will be minimal.
The likelihood of a more powerful storm during the second week of the month is being monitored by meteorologists. It is so far away that details are unavailable, but it may develop into a larger nor'easter that brings snow to the Garden State or it may be a mild storm that does little.
