Woman Struck by Vehicle on Hooper Avenue in Toms River
According to Toms River Township Police Department, on Monday, a pickup truck struck a woman who was crossing Hooper Avenue on Friday night, critically injuring her.
A 2000 Ford F250 struck the 37-year-old lady as she was crossing west Hooper Avenue in the crosswalk at Terrace Avenue, according to Lt. Scott Moeller.
The woman was struck by the 44-year-old driver of the pickup as he was making a left turn from Terrace Avenue onto Hooper Avenue, according to Moeller.
The woman suffered significant head injuries and was taken to the hospital, Moeller said.
The man and woman's names and hometowns were kept under wraps by the police.
