11 Year Old Ocean County Girl Fighting Cancer for the Fourth Time

Reese Osmond

Reese Osmond

Reese Osmond, an 11-year-old resident of Lacey, has experienced a lot. She was diagnosed with an acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) diagnosis at the young age of two and a half. And earlier in March, her family learned that her cancer had reappeared a fourth time after nearly two years in remission.

Her family wrote on her Facebook page, "We never thought we would be back here, but here we are.

Reese is currently receiving chemotherapy and immunotherapy at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia accompanied by her mother, Jordyn Osmond. Following this, Reese will require a bone marrow transplant this summer, according to her mother.

While her husband remains in Lacey to work and take care of their second daughter Ryleigh, Osmond had to quit her job to be at her daughter's side.

Osmond hopes to come home soon, but they must visit CHOP again in June for the transplant. She estimated that they would spend around 30 days in the hospital after that and then 100 days in a Philadelphia apartment.

Unfortunately, word reached Reese's family that her sister Ryleigh wasn't a good match for Reese. Since there was only a 25% possibility that she would have been a match, her physicians weren't shocked.

Still, they start looking through the registry now. Reese appears to have several solid alternatives, they noted, but they won't know for sure for some time.

The family is currently receiving support from the neighborhood in every manner possible.

Through their Infinite Love For Kids Fighting Cancer page, you can support the Osmond family financially.

To provide the family with both cooked meals and local takeaway, a Meal Train was also established.

Reese also has a wish list on Amazon, and any items bought will be delivered to the hospital.

Reese is already organizing this year's lemonade stand for people who look forward to it each year.

You can also donate to Reese's GoFundMe Page.
