23-Year-Old Driver Loses Life in Devastating Jersey Shore Collision
A 23-year-old man from Kearny died following a single-vehicle crash in Wall Township early Wednesday morning, authorities said.
According to Wall police, the crash occurred around 1:45 a.m. on the ramp connecting eastbound Route 138 to northbound Route 35.
Investigators said the driver’s SUV left the roadway on the right side before colliding with a guardrail, a traffic sign, and a light pole. The vehicle then overturned and came to rest in a wooded area.
Emergency crews responded to the scene and transported the driver to a nearby hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
Officials have not publicly identified the victim at this time but confirmed that next of kin have been notified.
The incident remains under investigation.
