3 Teens Caught Joyriding In Stolen Car

Following their discovery driving a stolen vehicle, three teenagers from Galloway were charged with multiple felonies, according to Atlantic City Police Department

A news release stated that on April 19, just before 5 p.m., Atlantic City police observed the stolen vehicle driving into the city on Route 30 after it had registered on the department's automated license plate reader system. According to authorities, the vehicle had been reported stolen in Neptune.

For the sake of public safety, the pursuit of the car was halted when police attempted to stop it for speeding.

The car had wrecked at Kentucky and Marmora avenues, but authorities from the Surveillance Center were able to find it promptly.

When police arrived, they observed the three males running from the scene and the automobile smashing into a parked car.

Authorities apprehended the trio of teenagers.

Three charges were brought against a 17-year-old: receiving stolen items, joyriding, and obstruction of justice. Eluding, joyriding, receiving stolen property, and obstructing justice were the charges brought against a 16-year-old. According to authorities, both were brought into arrest.

A fifteen-year-old was accused of obstructing the legal process, receiving stolen items, and joyriding. A summons to his parent resulted in his release.
