Authorities say an excavator being pulled by a dump truck caused a mishap on Hooper Avenue Friday afternoon that brought down wires and a utility pole.

According to Jillian Messina, a public relations specialist for the Toms River Police Department, the collision happened around 3 p.m. in close proximity to the intersection of Hooper Avenue and Edken Avenue.

According to her, the incident caused power disruptions throughout the neighborhood.

No recorded injuries exist.
