According to the
National Weather Service, "the heaviest rain looks to arrive sometime after midnight, peaking during the late morning." "Heavy downpours at times could last into the evening before ending (Friday) night."
Forecasters stated that further rainfall of 2 to 4 inches is predicted in northern and central New Jersey, with locally higher totals of 6 to 8 inches possible in the state's northwest.
