According to GoFundMe:
"Hi everyone, I’m Lynne’s brother, Rob Szablewski. Many of you may not know but Lynne has been recently diagnosed with Stage IV Breast Cancer which has spread to her lungs. This has come as a complete shock to her and her family as it was discovered during her first ever mammogram in late August 2023. This is going to be a lifelong fight and she will need our support even though I know she would never ask for help.
Lynne has always worked very hard to support her large family. Between her husband, Steve Morey, and herself they have and continue to raise 8 children. They have 6 boys and 2 girls, ages ranging from 13 to 27.
Lynne has worked for Toms River Regional Schools in NJ as a high school mathematics teacher for over 20 years. She has also worked as a manager at Roy Rogers in Pine Beach NJ for over 25 years. She has had to take medical leave from both jobs so that she can receive the proper care she needs during this time.
Her husband also works multiple jobs to support the family including Western Pest Control, DoorDash delivery and refereeing soccer games. Besides working and raising their family, Lynne and Steve spent many years volunteering their time as soccer coaches for the Beachwood Soccer Club for multiple teams.
Because Lynne needed to take medical leave and has run out of sick days, she is now responsible for paying for her medical coverage and eventually for Cobra coverage out of pocket which is very expensive. She has lost a great deal of income that her family depends on just to pay for regular household expenses.
Lynne’s breast cancer treatments start very soon and may continue for a long period of time. She needs to stay positive and continue to fight for herself and her family. I know if we all could help with the financial burden, it would be a lot less stressful for her and her family.
It will allow her to focus on healing rather than worrying about how they will pay their bills. The money raised will help offset the costs of continuing medical coverage, medical bills, travel/food funds for when going to and from treatments and for household expenses during her medical leave.
No donation is too small, and all donations are greatly appreciated during Lynne’s breast cancer treatments. We are asking everyone to please share this fundraiser on their social media platforms and with friends and family.
Thank you so much for all your support and prayers!!
