Bradley Cooper Launches Philadelphia Cheesesteak Truck
According to 9th Street Italian Market's Facebook post, one of Hollywood's biggest A-List stars, Bradley Cooper has partnered up with Danny DiGiampietro, owner of Angelos Pizzeria South Philly on S. 9th Street to create an awesome food truck called Danny and Coop’s Cheesesteak! In New York City, Bradley Cooper and Danny DiGiampietro from Angelo's Pizzeria enter the cheesesteak industry. The actor and Danny DiGiampietro of South Philadelphia operated the Danny & Coop's cheesesteak truck, and all revenues were given to charity according to The Philadelphia Inquirer.
In Greenwich Village, New York, on the morning of December 6, the black food truck pulled into a spot on West Third Street close to Sixth Avenue. The name Danny & Coop's Cheesesteaks is written on the side.
Both the folks in the truck and the sandwiches being sold through the window were from Philadelphia. "Coop" is actor Bradley Cooper, who was born in Montgomery County and has a culinary background that includes work in pizzerias as a child and a leading role as a troubled chef in the 2015 thriller Burnt. "Danny" is Danny DiGiampietro, owner of Angelo's Pizzeria in South Philadelphia.
