Police Chase Leads to Arrests in Toms River Theft Case

According to Toms River Police Department, three suspects were detained after a police pursuit and collision on Tuesday have been accused of stealing a cell phone shipment from a FedEx driver. The charges were announced on Wednesday.

According to Police Chief Mitch Little, Santo Felizcruz, 20, Edwin Noboabelen, 18, and a 17-year-old were taken into custody on Tuesday night.

Little stated that while Sgt. Michael Gallipoli was looking into a tip from a FedEx driver regarding the theft of a cell phone package on Cedar Grove Road, Gallipoli noticed the vehicle that was reported to be involved in the crime on Indian Hill Road.

The vehicle raced up the street rapidly before colliding with a vehicle that was parked in front of a house on Shenandoah Boulevard. The chief claimed that after the three occupants of the automobile fled, they were discovered around 0.5 miles away on Port-au-Prince Street.

According to Little, the investigation proved that all three were complicit in the theft of the cell phone.

According to Ocean County Corrections , Felizcruz has been charged with eluding, theft, conspiracy, obstruction of the administration of law. He is being held pending a detention hearing.

Also, according to the jail website, Noboabelen has been charged with theft, conspiracy, obstruction of the administative of law and resisting arrest by flight. He is also being detained until his detention hearing.

According to Little, the 17-year-old was brought to the Ocean County Juvenile Detention Center.
