83-Year-Old Woman Assaulted by Masked Robber in NJ
According to Somers Point Police Department, a suspect who attacked an elderly woman and took her handbag outside of a Jersey Shore supermarket is wanted by the police.
A news announcement stated that the robbery occurred on October 3 at the
Somers Point Acme. Around 10:50 a.m., police arrived to the supermarket.
Near the store's entrance, an 83-year-old Somers Point woman was approached from behind, assaulted, and had her purse stolen, according to the police.
The suspect, who police characterized as a younger, presumably Caucasian man dressed in black clothing and masks, left the area and headed toward Bethel Road.
According to authorities, the woman was transferred to Shore Medical Center to receive treatment for her attack-related wounds.
