Winter Weather Alert: New Jersey
Prepares for Arctic Blast
With wind chills that will make it feel like zero for the first half of the week, the bitter cold becomes the major story following Sunday's snowfall.
By early Sunday afternoon, snow had started to fall, and before it ends, several inches were predicted to fall throughout New York City and the Tri-State region.
The core of the cold is expected to arrive on Tuesday, and temperatures in the Tri-State region will remain consistent for the first part of next week.
With wind chills below zero, Tuesday and Wednesday's high temperatures might not drop below the teens according to
abc7ny.com.
Later in the week, more storms that are brewing in the southeast may move northeast into the Arctic air.
After the storm ends Sunday, temperatures will plummet overnight and remain dangerously cold during the week according to the
National Weather Service.
