Traffic Delays Reported Due to Accident in Toms River Parkway

According to the Ocean County Sheriff, traffic is being backed up Monday morning due to a collision on the northbound side of the Garden State Parkway at Exit 82 in Toms River.

According to the State Department of Transportation, the collision occurred just before 8 a.m. and has resulted in the closure of the Parkway's right lane and right shoulder.

As far south as Lacey, traffic is slowing down, according to 511nj.org, the state DOT traffic website.

Traffic backups and crashes also affect Beachwood and downtown Toms River streets, forcing drivers to detour.
