New Jersey Braces for Another Round of Severe Weather

Strong storms and further flooding might return to New Jersey on Wednesday night and into the night, according to forecasters, following a break from the rain on Tuesday.

The biggest storms could bring 1 to 2 inches of rain per hour, according to forecasters, and severe wind gusts might result in power outages and tree damage.

By Thursday morning, New Jersey could get a total of 2 to 4 inches of rain.
On Wednesday, there will be another active cycle of storms at night, which will increase the temperature.

When heat and humidity are predicted to make it feel like 95 to 99 degrees for two or more days in a row, or 100 to 104 degrees for any length of time, a heat advisory is issued.

We have an AccuWeather Alert for Wednesday night into Thursday morning for drenching storms that could fuel more flooding. Check the latest forecast.
