Children Discover Man's Body in Monmouth County Park
According to Howell Police Department, a man who was discovered by children on September 12 at Deerwood Park in the township's Ramtown neighborhood died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
At 5:22 p.m., according to the police, they were called to a complaint of a deceased man. Police reported that after an investigation, no criminal activity was discovered at the scene.
Howell South Little League suspended all operations as a result of the incident and posted a warning that said, "due to a large police presence in the area."
